Most photos we take today are born digital—in other words, they are created by a digital camera or camera phone and only exist in a digital format.
In the recent past, we photographers tended to limit our shots since we may have only had one roll of film on us at any given time.
However, now that we are shooting almost exclusively on digital media (with seemingly limitless storage), we are overwhelmed by thousands of pictures, sometimes forgotten on our phone or memory cards.
Just because we can keep all those photos doesn’t meant that we should. In fact, just because they are digital doesn’t mean that all those photos are being stored!
Digital files promise convenience and instant accessibility, but they still need to be organized and archived just as prints would!
Keeping up with the seemingly endless flood of digital photos from our phones, cameras, tablets, and other devices can be daunting.
In this book, I outline simple steps that, when followed regularly, will help you manage your digital images regardless of how many devices you use to take pictures.
When you’ve followed these steps, your digital photo files will be tidy and navigable!

This helped me so much! I'm a photo junkie, with tens of thousands of photos saved on one PC alone, thousands more online and on multiple devices. Although I had a good system for organizing, there are still far more photos than I've ever been able to properly track. This book was wonderful for me, and a quick read too. I devoured it in one sitting (and I'm a slow reader!), and I was able to immediately put the knowledge to use. Where my current organizational skills fell short, this book offered me the knowledge to pick back up.My husband and I recently moved house, and we're trying to downsize, making the several boxes of printed photos that I have from youth something of a burden. This book gave me the tools to review those old photo boxes with ease, and make decisions that I'd previously found difficult. I was able to cut my hard copies in half in just a few hours!!! The tips seem like common sense, but having them spelled out in black and white gave me exactly the boost I needed to get unstuck. Especially after dealing with grief.
Another great tip I'd heard elsewhere, not for photos but for downsizing in general: If you have an object that isn't necessarily useful or doesn't bring you joy, but you don't want to get rid of it because of sentimental reasons, take a photo of it!! Then take author Sabrina Hughes' tips, immediately select the best of the captured images, and delete the rest.... then free yourself of the object by releasing it back to the world (donation, recycling, etc). Be sure to save the photo in a spot that works for your newfound filing system, and you're all set! The object no longer creates clutter in your home nor brings you guilt to see it unused, and when you want to reminisce, you can pull up the picture easily and see it again in a snap thanks to the great filing system you now have!
This book helped me make hard decisions much easier, and I felt much freer afterwards. Although this was a free download for me, I happily would pay for it, for the huge help it's offered me!

Really enjoyed it, thank you!
I found this eBook at the perfect time! I just got a new laptop and want to sort my files better anyway- which includes my photos.
I love these simple ideas to help me store my digital photos in a way I can actually find and access them when I want. I'm excited to get started! 😃
Quick read. Similar to the methods I already use so not of great interest to me. Probably great for the author's target audience though.
This quick read details a great, methodical way to get your photos organized & backed up - and keep it that way. Simple steps with concise explanations & walk-throughs. Would recommend.
This is a great read for anyone who, like me, is completely overwhelmed by digital life. Before taking the advice found in this book I would panic when I ran out of space on my phone or my computer. I take a lot of photos and I hate having to delete to take more. That doesn't happen anymore thanks to these tips. Learn how to set and forget your digital responsibilities by developing a back up routine and choosing the right software and settings.
